According to information collected from the public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc, a 24-year-old man killed his partner and their daughter in this locality of Côtes-d’Armor. The mother of the young woman was also injured and hospitalized in Brest.
The prosecution described the facts in a communication to BFMTV on the evening of this Sunday. The public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc thus indicated that, earlier in the day, around 4 p.m., the police officers of the Saint-Brieuc police station were called for gunshots in an apartment in Saint-Brieuc.
Arriving on the spot, the latter note through the window that three people are dead: a 24-year-old man, a 22-year-old woman – probably the companion of the first – as well as the couple’s 3-year-old daughter.
Another person was found injured: the mother of the young woman. She was taken to hospital in Brest.
Autopsies performed on Monday
The prosecution further specified that the preferred scenario at this time was that the man opened fire, before turning the weapon – a rifle according to our information – against him.
The investigation was entrusted to the Saint-Brieuc police station, while the public prosecutor, accompanied by the Judicial Identity, went to the scene in the evening. The autopsies will be carried out on Monday at the Rennes forensic institute.
