Promised for a while by Volition, the big Saints Row update is unveiled today ahead of the launch of the game’s first expansion.
Saints Row returns to Fore next week
Lots of fixes will be available with this update and these include map changes, animations, missions, many bug fixes and selfie mode which will be available.
Issues related to unlocking certain achievements should also be fixed and many “quality of life” improvements are planned. The studio also indicates that it has made significant changes to combat, for example by drastically lowering the health of enemies.
In addition to the launch of The Heist and The Hazardous and the opening of our brand new neighborhood, Sunshine Springs, the team has also been hard at work bringing you a host of quality of life improvements, new features and bug fixes. This includes an overhaul to combat, making it smoother and more aggressive than ever, plus new features like Selfie mode and an emote wheel that lets you choose up to 8 emotes to quickly deploy. Some missions have also been improved and we have added the ability to disable or enable health bars as you wish.
In addition, we fixed a large number of bugs, including achievement and trophy issues, stability issues, and challenges. So make yourself comfortable, there’s a lot to take in!

The studio gives us an appointment next Tuesday
This update will accompany the release of the DLC The Heist and The Hazardous, an extension of Saints Row that will allow you to discover a new area. The studio will unveil the launch trailer for its DLC on May 9, and it will be available to discover here.
While Saints Row had a complicated launch, we hope this big update will give the game a second wind and allow players to experience it in a better light.
