The sales of the partially state-owned OMV Group fell by 31 percent to EUR 10.9 billion in the first quarter. The group announced today. Net profit fell from 855 to 592 million euros.
Last year, OMV benefited from very high oil and above all gas prices. For this year, an average Brent crude oil price of more than 80 dollars (around 72 euros) per barrel is expected (2022: 101 dollars). The average realized gas price will be around 35 euros per megawatt hour (2022: 54 euros per MWh).
Total OMV production is expected to fall to around 360,000 barrels per day this year, mainly because Russian production is no longer reported as in-house production. In addition, there are of course declines in production in Norway and Romania.
