Apple is said to be preparing to use micro-LED displays in new Watch Ultra models. It could reportedly start as early as 2024. But not only Apple should have such plans. Samsung Display is said to start manufacturing micro-LED screens for smartphones to preparewhich could then power the Galaxy Watch models of the parent company.
Samsung is currently only using micro-LED displays for a few premium TVs and The Wall for business customers. There are also micro LED TVs for private customers, but they are in price regions that are mostly above 100,000 euros. It is quite possible that Samsung Display could supply its micro-LED panels for smartwatches to both Apple and Samsung.
However, no results are to be expected before 2024. Since these are only rumours, you should treat this information with a little caution anyway.
