The Samsung Galaxy A24 4G has a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and uses a SuperAMOLED panel. As with the Galaxy A34, there is also a teardrop-shaped “notch” at the top of the screen and relatively wide display edges, although you can’t expect anything else in this price range.

For a price of just under 200 euros, you otherwise get equipment based around the MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core SoC that corresponds to the relatively low price. The chip offers eight computing cores, with one cluster clocking at up to 2.2 gigahertz, while the other CPU cores, optimized for energy-saving operation, reach a maximum of 2.0 GHz.
The main memory is always four gigabytes in size, while the internal flash memory takes up 128 GB and can be expanded using a microSD card slot. Other features include NFC and two SIM card slots. You have to do without wireless charging. but at least there is now a USB Type-C port on this inexpensive model from the Galaxy A series, with which the device can be charged using modern power supplies.
Three cameras, 50 megapixels
The battery of the Samsung Galaxy A24 is 5000 mAh. There are three cameras on the back of the smartphone made of plastic. The main camera is 50 megapixels, while there’s also an ultra-wide five-megapixel camera and the usual pointless 2 MP macro sensor. A simple 13-megapixel camera for self-portraits is integrated in the notch on the front.
The Samsung Galaxy A24 is apparently initially being launched in the Middle East, where the device will go on sale for the equivalent of a good 200 euros. One point of criticism is obvious: only Android 12 is offered as the operating system.
