Samsung presented today (10) to Brazil the new Galaxy A23 5G and A04e, mid-level models that share some specifications but with different proposals and prices. Both were launched on the foreign market last year, between the months of August and October. Now in Brazil, they are Sammy’s first launches in Tupiniquin lands in 2023.
Galaxy A23 5G has Snapdragon 685 and 90 Hz screen
Certified by Anatel in July last year, the device arrived in Brazil just now, and with the same visual language as Samsung’s intermediate launches last year. The Galaxy A23 5G comes with a PLS LCD screen which measures 6.5 inches and has Full HD resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 90Hz refresh rate.
In a small drop-shaped notch, we also find the 8 MP front camera at the top of the display. Speaking of cameras, we have a triple set on the back, one of which is 50 MP mainaccompanied by a 5 MP ultrawidean 2 MP macro and one more from 2 MP for use in depth of field.
Internally, the A23 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 695 processorhe has 4 GB of RAM memory and 128 GB of storage in the eMMC 5.1 standard, and there is still the possibility of expansion through a microSD card. Your battery has the capacity to 5,000 mAh and supports charging 25 watts.
Galaxy A04e: few cameras and no 5G
The Galaxy A04e is a model with a more affordable price and that is why Samsung has reduced some specifications that we found in the Galaxy A23 5G. For example, your screen is also a LCD PLS which measures 6.5 inches and HD resolution, without glass protection and with the frequency locked in the basic 60 Hz.
The processor used is MediaTek Helio G35without 5G connectivity, and accompanied by 3GB and 4GB RAM optionsBesides 32GB, 64GB and up to 128GB of storage. Battery follows capacity 5,000 mAh and it should even last longer than the A23 5G, since it has fewer features.
Finally, the A04e’s simple camera array is comprised of a 13 MP main at the rear, combined with a 2 MP macro. Selfies and video calls are handled through the lens 5 MP frontalso used in a drop-shaped notch under the screen.
RAM Plus on both models
Both arrive in Brazil with the operating system android 12 and OneUI 4.1. Thanks to this version of the system, they have the function RAM Pluswhich allows you to allocate part of the storage and transform it into virtual RAM memory, in order to dynamically increase performance in some applications.
With this feature, both manage to double the original amount of RAM. This means that the Galaxy A23 5G can reach 8GB in total, while the A04e with 3GB can reach 6GB.
price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy A04e will be available in physical retail stores starting this week, in black, blue and copper. The Galaxy A23 5G will be available from January 16th, in black, white and blue for the suggested price of. Both will also start online sales from January 16th.
