A 52-year-old man was trapped inside his vehicle as a result of the overflow of the stream that runs through the Héctor Carballo Park, in San Vicente. The motorist was assisted and rescued by members of the Second Police Station.

According to what was reported by police sources, around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday it was learned -through a cell phone call- that the man was in trouble after being stranded with his Chevrolet Corsa in the middle of the course of water.

The individual would have stayed to sleep inside the vehicle. Upon waking up, he was surprised by the flooding and overflow of the stream, which left a large part of the car submerged.

Volunteer firefighters and neighbors had to intervene at the scene to protect the motorist.
