The retired Gendarmerie commander held his first cabinet meeting today, where “the work guidelines were given in accordance with the public security policy outlined by the governor and the security plan that I have presented in a timely manner,” Brilloni said, according to an official statement.
The new minister took over the security portfolio after the resignation of the retired commissioner Ruben Rimoldi, who left office after the escalation of violence that took place in Rosario in recent weeks, but which dates from before his administration. So far this year, 35 homicides have been recorded in the city of Santa Fe.
