What would Vorarlbergers do if they had an additional thousand euros at their disposal? Would they be frugal or generous?

Everything gets more expensive. Almost nobody would say no to additional money at the moment. In a survey in Dornbirn, VOL.AT wanted to know what Vorarlbergers would do with 1000 euros more a month. Would you rather save or spend the money right away?

“I don’t save at all”

“I think fifty-fifty,” says Hanna from Dornbirn. Her friend Teresa would also spend half of the money right away and save the other half. “I don’t save at all, I just spend,” explains Karla from Dornbirn to VOL.AT. Price and inflation make no difference here either.

Invest instead of spend

“I would save it,” says Maximilian from Dornbirn. You never know what you’ll need in the future, says the 16-year-old. His buddy Boris feels the same way: “Investing is what I think of when I think of a thousand more.” He wasn’t going to spend the extra money right away.

“I have a small pension”

Armin from Lustenau would rather spend the money. He would go away with it, perhaps fly away on vacation or stop by the landlord straight away. “It’s also part of life,” he says. Gitte from Hohenems would save the additional mice. She has a small pension, she explains. “Of course I depend on every cent,” she explains.
