When the culé footballers were celebrating on the pitch, a real stampede of Espanyol ultras broke out, who went directly to seek to hit the players.
In the midst of the chaos, the Barcelona squad ran to the locker room to take shelter from the invasion of the opposing team’s bars.
Throughout the match, Espanyol fans, more precisely the so-called ultras, raised xenophobic chants against their rival.
Among other atrocities, they put up a banner that said “Shakira belongs to everyone”, or “Piqué your son belongs to Wakaso”.
