At the weekend, the guild in Schwarzach invited to a fun children’s carnival.
The carnival season in the Hofsteig traditionally ends with the big parade on Shrove Tuesday. A few weeks earlier, however, there was already a good reason for the children to get in the mood for the fifth season. The Schliefer-Fasnatzunft, led by chairman Rene Winkel, again invited to the “Children’s Carnival”, which began with a small parade accompanied by the Lauterach shawm procession and the Lauterach Children’s Guard and ended with a colorful afternoon of games in the community hall. Of course, “head hyrax” Hanspeter Tauber (GH Ochsen), the Vorarlberg guild president Barbara Lässer, vice president Christoph Huber, former president Michel Stocklasa, Fasnatsrat Günter Dietrich, former guild master Armin Kleiner and the mayor of the community, Thomas Schierle, and GR Monika Raid were also there. In addition to food and drink, around 240 children enjoyed magic tricks, polonaise, group games, dance routines, competitions and much more in the fully occupied hall together with their parents. So it’s no wonder that the carnival motto “Schliefer Schliefer, Pfeller Pfiefer” was already well mastered by the youngsters and echoed through the hall several times from hundreds of voices.
