San Juan, Aug 9 (EFE).- A 34-year-old man is wanted by the Puerto Rican authorities for facing charges of committing incest, mistreatment and threatening for 3 years against his 13-year-old daughter, whom he got pregnant, the Police reported this Wednesday local.

The suspect, identified as Alexis Alicea Torres, committed the acts against the minor, who later gave birth to the child, in Lajas, a municipality on the southwest coast of the island, detailed the authorities in a report.

This case was consulted with several prosecutors, who filed against Alicea Torres for violations of Articles 131 (Incest), 283 (Threat or Intimidation of Witnesses) of the Penal Code of Puerto Rico, and Article 59 (Abuse), of Law 246 , Law for the Safety, Welfare and Protection of Minors.

Prosecutors also filed three complaints under Article 59 (Abuse), of Law 246, Law for the Safety, Welfare and Protection of Minors, against Liz Anette Rodríguez González, wife of the defendant.

According to the authorities, Rodríguez González and Alicea Torres deprived the minor of her liberty, leaving her locked up in the residence with an infant.

Proof of the facts was presented before Judge Sinia Pérez Correa, of the Mayagüez Court, who determined cause for the arrest of both, setting Alicea Torres a $1 million dollar bail and issuing an arrest warrant against her.

Against Rodríguez González he indicated a bail of 15,000 dollars, which he provided, being released under electronic supervision until the day of the preliminary hearing. EFE
