In the four years of the current administration, the Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu) has received 94 mentions, recognitions and national and international architecture awards.

The prizes have been assigned for works carried out through the Urban Improvement Program (PMU) in various states of the Republic.

The most recent of the awards obtained was for the Catarino Garza Public Market in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, which won the 2022 Prix Versailles World Architecture and Design Award in the North American Commercial Places category.

The market is located on the border with the United States, in the Ampliación Solidaridad neighborhood. The cost of the work was 18 million pesos and it was developed in coordination with the Colectivo C733 office and the Faculty of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

The Prix Versailles is an award with eight editions and considers innovation, creativity, respect for local culture, for natural and cultural heritage; and eco-efficiency and aims to foster a better interaction between economy and culture.

Some of the awarded Sedatu projects are: Parque el Represo, in Nogales, Sonora; La Duna Skatepark in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua; Jardín de Agua Sports Center and Public Plaza in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur; Xicoténcatl Park, Tijuana, Baja California; the Bahía de Banderas Market, Nayarit; the House of Music of Nacajuca, Tabasco; the Historic Center of San Lucas Xoloc, Tecámac, State of Mexico; Plaza del Reloj and historic center, Chalco, State of Mexico; the Escárcega Health Center, Campeche; Community Development Center and public park in the former railway station, in Tapachula, Chiapas; Progreso Meteorite Museum, Yucatan; and the Cultural Center of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca.
