– On the cards, the children paint something that makes them happy and write small texts such as “you are valuable”, “have a nice day”, “you are important” and “someone is thinking of you”, says Pia Westlund, preschool teacher at Matthew School.
– We have talked a lot about the fact that many people are lonely and it is important to show that there are some who care about them. This is a way to spread joy, says Linda Gabrielsson, teacher at Matthew School.
A total of around 8,000 postcards are distributed, painted by children at the municipality’s preschools and the lower grades of primary school.
