After 13 winter hikes, during which “Petrus” meant well with the weather and the hikers, the Bludenz Seniors’ Club started the spring hikes.

In addition, Peter had given us a wonderful day with the best vision after a fresh morning. After arriving by train to Lochau and taking the L-126 to Niederstaufen, we hiked from the town center through extensive meadows and along the so-called “Laiblachweg”, which is part of the German “Jakobweg”. After crossing the Laiblachbrücke, we hiked through floodplains and beautiful alluvial forests to the hamlet of Sigmarszell, where we took a long break.

Then we hiked the Laiblachweg, partly right next to the Laiblach, until we crossed the Laiblach at “Huber” in the direction of “Diezlings”. After we had Vorarlberg soil under our feet again, we hiked in the direction of Hörbranz, where we ended the wonderful day of hiking in the good inn “Rose”. The Seniorenclub-Bludenz hikes every Tuesday under the motto: “we get to know üüser’s schöös Ländle and do something for üüsri health”. The senior hikes, which take about 2 to 4 hours to walk, are organized and usually accompanied by hiking guide Josef Gantner. The outward and return journey is always by train and/or bus.
