The Rankweiler Seniorenbund recently carried out the first hike of the new year. Many members use this invitation to start the new year in good company and good air.

The start was at St. Josef’s Church. Via the Schufla area with a wet stopover at Melita, we continued in the direction of Frutzwald to the Muntliger Steg and the “Flötzeranlage” museum area. In the Frödischsaal restaurant in Muntlix, the many seniors were warmly welcomed and well cared for. Local chairman Helmut Jenny thanked the main person responsible, Sylvia Längle, and her team for organizing the first event this year.

The Seniors’ Association would also like to draw attention to the “Cinema Monday for Senior Citizens” taking place for the first time in the “Alten Kino” in Rankweil. On Monday, January 16, at 3 p.m., the great film “Elvis” will be shown. Then it’s off to the “Tafelspitz” restaurant for a drink and appetizers. Contribution towards expenses Euro 9.—(admission, drink + appetizers). This is a new series of events organized by the market town of Rankweil, the senior citizens’ advisory board and the old cinema.
