Cologne.
A suspicious object caused problems in rail traffic in and around Cologne on Thursday. The police blocked parts of the main station.

The police cordoned off areas at Cologne Central Station on Thursday afternoon. The reason was an “object” that “cannot be clearly assigned,” said a spokesman for the federal police.

“We currently have the appropriate forces on site,” added the spokesman. They are concerned with excluding a possible “dangerousness” of the object. What it was exactly was initially unclear.
