At Hollywood’s big red carpet events, spectacular outfits are simply a must for the stars and starlets. Heidi Klum wasn’t lucky with the choice of clothes this time.
Los Angeles – On January 10, the 80th Golden Globe Awards ceremony was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. As usual, the event was a rendezvous for all the stars who are famous in Hollywood. And of course the most beautiful outfits of the evening were again a big topic in the media. GNTM presenter Heidi Klum (49) was not one of those whose look was greatly admired.
Many female stars choose sweeping dresses and long designer gowns for the first big red carpet event of the year. Heidi Klum, however, opted for an extremely short silver sequined dress by designer Kévin Germanier (31). The dress was punctuated by various cut-outs and transparent inserts and covered with a purple feather stole. The model posted a lot of pictures of her outfit and seemed completely satisfied with her mini dress – contrary to the press. For the British Daily Mail, the 49-year-old headed the list of the biggest fashion missteps of the evening with her “bizarre Vegas showgirl” outfit.

Among the followers on Instagram, when it comes to the dress, the ghosts are probably also divided. Under one of the posted photos, in which Heidi Klum exceptionally activated the comment function, there are comments like: “This dress is a disaster”, “It’s a shame that your clothes are getting scarcer” or “It’s a shame, unfortunately, your wardrobe looks old year cheaper. Class, elegance, depth and charisma are completely missing”.
In a similar tenor, the influential US magazine People wrote that the model’s dress featured sequins, feathers and a poking-out breast. Heidi Klum’s dress also failed fashion bloggers Tom Fitzgerald and Lorenzo Marquez, although they were impressed and admitted that she could wear it somehow. In their Cosmopolitan article, they wondered how the model managed to find a new way of wearing “a half dress” again. “A terrible robe,” is her devastating verdict.
