“We don’t get another quilombo, we need political order for there to be economic order.” In a strong political tone, the Minister of Economy Sergio Massa He again referred to the inmate in the Frente de Todos in the face of the presidential candidacies by presenting a package of measures for the countryside.
As this media reported, this Thursday during an act held in the Buenos Aires city of Navarro, Massa announced the launch of a Plan for the poultry chainand on the other hand the fifth installment of the Impulso Tambero Program, which the Government implemented at the beginning of this year. Both measures will represent an investment of 10,256 million pesos, with the aim of assisting both sectors that are facing bird flu and the consequences of the drought.

“It is important at this time when producers fight for subsistence, the field fights to fulfill contracts, our SMEs sustain the level of growth, when our society fights to maintain its consumption, to access goods when we have to face the fight for income, because inflation demolished the income of the middle class, the political fights have to move to the background”, he pointed out.
He Avian Plan It will have a fund of 7,500 million pesos. It will be used for commercial and backyard poultry producers who had to slaughter animals and destroy fertile eggs and eggs for consumption, due to the detection and/or suspicion of contagion of avian influenza. The head of the Palacio de Hacienda specified that the measure to accompany the producers who faced the slaughter of poultry will be through economic assistance to commercial and backyard poultry producers. The amount of assistance per producer will be determined based on the economic valuation of the categories of domestic birds and products (eggs) made by INTA and the quantities of birds slaughtered and products destroyed.
In addition, it was determined that access to the programs will be simple, because the data on which the benefit is calculated is found in the Senasa computer system and arises from the digital slaughter certificates. On the other hand, producers whose animals were slaughtered prior to the entry into force of these programs within the framework of the sanitary measures provided by Senasa, will have 30 days to request entry to them. In all other cases, the affected producers may make the request from the 6th day of conforming the slaughter certificate and up to 30 days after it.
In relation to the Tambero Impulse Program, the Minister of Economy will allocate 2,756 million pesos, with the purpose of alleviating the situation of producers affected by the drought and the macroeconomic conditions that impacted on the cost of production. For this reason, it was decided to add a fifth installment of the benefit received by producers who joined the measure.
The Government provided that said quota will be accompanied by an update of the benefit values. In this way, the values are updated to $20 for producers of up to 1,500 liters, and $15 for producers between 1,501 liters and 5,000 liters inclusive. There will also be an increase in the maximum limit per producer to 800,000 pesos in an extraordinary way for the aforementioned quota.
