Several brands of eye drops recalled

The Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, issues a new warning against some brands of eye drops.

The agency says there is a risk of infection that could lead to partial vision loss or even blindness.

Investigators found unsanitary conditions at manufacturing facilities where critical drug production areas tested positive for bacteria.

The alert covers 27 over-the-counter eye drop products manufactured by retail brands CVS Health, Leader, Rugby, Rite Aid, Target, and Up&U,p among others.

The FDA urges anyone using products from these brands to stop doing so immediately.

The agency recommended the manufacturer recall all products.
