MIAMI.- The celebration of the Met Gala 2024 meant the parade of numerous public figures in entertainment. Among them stands out Shakirawho attended the prestigious event for the first time.
And his presence was not discreet. On this occasion, the Colombian singer walked the green carpet wearing a red suit designed by the Venezuelan Carolina Herrera. The piece highlighted the figure of the performer, who dazzled when she arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
It was a positive debut for Shakira at the Met Gala, since her bet was taken well by fashion experts. The asymmetrical cuts of her dress, as well as the stunning color and cleavage that she showed, albeit discreetly, of her silhouette, were well received by critics.

Carolina Herrera’s design suited this year’s theme, with the rebirth of fashion as the central point, showing a flower-shaped cape, which detached from the back.
The suit also had the collaboration of Wes Gordan.
Shakira complemented her style with platform sandals wrapped in satin silk, also red. On her neck hung a diamond choker that matched the flower of the brooch that she showed on her neckline.
During the celebration, the exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion was brought to life, in which numerous antique garments were displayed, so fragile that they cannot be displayed upright. There were 220 objects exhibited with a nature theme.
