Shakira once again has legal problems in Spain. This time, a Barcelona court opened a second investigation against him. He is accused of committing tax fraud against the Public Treasury for evading taxes in different years during his residence in the European country.

A complaint filed by the Barcelona Economic Crimes Prosecutor accuses the Colombian of defrauding more than 14.5 million euros (more than $16 million) to the Tax Agency between the years 2012 and 2018. The crimes include fraud of more than 12 million euros in Personal Income Tax (IRPF) payments and more than €2 million in Wealth Tax.

According to the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC), the trials of the singer will begin on November 20 and will run until December 12.

The Prosecutor’s Office claims for her a sentence of more than eight years in prison and a fine of €23.8 million.
