Representing France at Eurovision in 2012, Anggun will be this year commenting on the two semi-finals on Tuesday and Thursday on Culturebox alongside André Manoukian.

This Tuesday, May 9 and this Thursday, May 11, Graceful will be commenting on the two semi-finals of l’Eurovision 2023 on the Culturebox channel. During the first evening, it will thus present the participations of the 31 countries which will try to win their ticket for the final. “They came to get me, it’s very flattering“, reacts Anggun, questioned by Tele-Leisure. It must be said that Eurovision is not a universe that is totally foreign to it since she had represented France with her title Echo (You and I) in 2012. “It’s always quite special to participate in such a contest. I could know how the other singers will feel in that moment“, she specifies.

Anggun is also delighted with the growing place of competition in French popular culture. “I’m happy to see that in France, we are more and more open to Eurovision. It’s no longer considered completely cheesy or has-been like it might have been a decade ago.“, notes the singer who will comment on the semi-finals alongside André Manoukian. “He is an outstanding musician with a great musical culture. I think we’ll have things to talk about!”, she smiles. But what kind of things exactly? “Usually, on Eurovision night, I always have dinner at home with my friends. We comment and there are always funny things that come out but we can’t put that on the radio or on TV. It’s often politically incorrect so I’ll try to restrain myself“, she replies with a big laugh.
