Shooting in Jamaica Plain leaves two injured

Two people were shot in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston Monday night, authorities said.

Boston police say the shooting happened on School Street around 9:30 p.m.

The victims were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are not known.

No arrests have been made.

Numerous police vehicles and officers were at the scene Monday night. At least two K9 police officers were also there and could be seen searching the street.

The investigation is active and ongoing.

The double shooting comes a day after a very violent night in the city, in which two people were killed and four others were injured. Police responded Sunday night to a deadly shooting in Roxbury, a shooting in Dorchester and a triple stabbing also in Dorchester.

No arrests have been announced in any of these cases.
