The police are still trying to determine the motive for this shooting that occurred in a house that is on this street that you see behind me and that caused a lot of panic in the middle of this community.
According to officials, at approximately 11:44 a.m. Thursday morning, several Miami-Dade Police Department patrol cars responded to the 1800 block of NW 132nd Street regarding a report that a person had been shot.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an adult male apparently suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. County Fire Rescue assisted and transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital Trauma Center in critical condition.
Detectives from the county uniform established a strong perimeter and investigated for hours. The preliminary report indicates that a subject got out of a vehicle, pulled out a firearm and shot the victim several times.
He then got back into the car and fled the area. As units worked the scene, an adult neighbor passed out and was treated by paramedics for a medical condition.
