GEORGE, Washington — Two people were killed and three wounded in a shooting near a Washington state campsite where a music festival was taking place Saturday night, police said.

Grant County police received a report of a shooting just before 8:30 p.m. in the encampment area near the small town of George, 149 miles east of Seattle. Officers pursued and arrested the suspect.

The names of the victims are unknown at this time.

Organizers of the Beyond Wonderland electronic music festival said on social media that Sunday’s events at the Gorge Amphitheater were cancelled. The shooting occurred in the encampments adjacent to the concert venues, police said. Concert organizers described the venue as an “overflow camping area.”

KREM-TV reported that according to Grant police, the shooter was among the three injured.
