One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting near a park in Boston’s South End Sunday night, police said.
The person who was injured in the incident, which occurred at 8:58 p.m., was taken to Boston Medical Center and is expected to survive, according to Boston police.
The shooting took place on East Lenox and Washington streets, one block from a shooting that occurred in broad daylight last May and was caught on video.
No one was injured in the May 24 shooting, which took place at 6:45 p.m. outside a grocery store, pizza parlor, liquor store and men’s club at Shawmut Avenue and Lenox Street, but the cars were hit by the bullets.
An 18-year-old from Cambridge was arrested nearly a week later, police said.
There was no immediate indication that the two shootings near Ramsay Park were connected.
