Shootings minutes apart leave one Hispanic dead and two others injured

One Hispanic was killed and two other Latinos were shot and wounded in separate incidents of gun violence in Philadelphia on Sunday, according to authorities.

The first incident was reported to have taken place at about 6:29 pm in the 6600 block of Bustleton Avenue where a 19-year-old Latino sustained a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported by Police to Albert Einstein Medical center where he perished at 6:44 p.m.

The second incident took place at about 6:56 pm in the 2000 block of Plum Street where two Hispanics, ages 25 and 32 respectively, sustained bullets in the right leg.

Both were transported by private vehicle to Nazareth Hospital where they were admitted in stable condition, but were later transferred to Mary’s Hospital by ambulance.

The woman who took the individuals to the hospital was detained by investigators. So far it is unknown whether or not she will face charges for what happened.

The reason for both violent events was not revealed at the moment. No weapons have been recovered or clues have been revealed about the suspect(s) in the shootings.
