At least one person was killed in a shot in a Belgrade elementary school this morning. The number of people injured in the centrally located school was initially unknown, but the media reported at least five people injured.
Police said the attack happened around 8:40 a.m. The alleged perpetrator who has since been arrested, a 14-year-old student, is said to have shot his former teacher.
Fatalities probably school keeper
The weapon is said to have been his father’s pistol. According to initial information, the fatality is said to be the school caretaker. It was not immediately clear whether students were among the injured.
According to Reuters, the Serbian news agency Tanjug reported that all five of the injured were schoolchildren. Primary school in Serbia lasts eight years. You start school at the age of seven.
