Berlin – pop singer Sasha (“If You Believe”) assures that he has never engaged with a special type of fan. “I wanted to be a successful musician so that I would also have groupies,” said the 51-year-old of the German edition of the men’s magazine “Playboy” – and laughing, as the magazine emphasized. “Then I was a pop star at some point and I asked myself: ‘Where are they now?'”
You have to make a difference between fans and groupies: “Groupies want sex with you because they want to be around. But apart from the fact that nowadays you can hardly talk about it, I really didn’t have any.” The singer suspects the reason: “Probably because I am the way I am. Just too nice.”
Sasha’s album “This Is My Time” is due to be released in September, after which the musician will continue his tour of the same name, which had been interrupted until then. dpa
