Ellyes Skhiri has outlined his career plan from the summer. In an interview with ‘L’Équipe’, the six from 1. FC Köln says: “I hope there will be a little different interest than in previous seasons. I think I put in respectable performances but the interested clubs didn’t agree with my ambitions. There is a lot of competition in the market, but that doesn’t stop me from dreaming big.”
Skhiri is only under contract in Cologne until the end of the season, so he can change without a transfer. Olympique Lyon wanted to sign the 27-year-old Tunisian in winter, but he turned it down due to the short notice. Those responsible for orienteering nevertheless assured Skhiri “that the door is not closed” may be. According to ‘Sport Bild’, Eintracht Frankfurt is currently in intensive talks with Skhiri’s agent about a change in the summer. Borussia Dortmund is also considered interested.
