In the beginning, as often, there is a rough and obscure book. “Heritage and Closure” was published in May 2021. At first glance, this manifesto had everything to remain confidential. He exhibits a “dismantling ecology”Who “disinnovates”, ” farm ” And “reassign”. The cover proposes to put “hands in the dirt”, this is the clearest passage. The rest is saturated with packed references to philosophers or economists like Bruno Latour or Elinor Ostrom. The pedagogical effort is reduced, the knotty concepts (“deprojection”, “heritage discontinuity”, “redirectionist divestment”) and yet, in spite of its bitterness, this text is a real success of esteem in environmental circles. It is impossible to enter this militant world without hearing about “renunciation”. Agencies based on these principles are emerging. Consulting firms are taking it over, with the hope of injecting radicalism into the peaceful world of greenwashing. With a little attention, we would even see a new field of ecological thought taking shape: after collapsology, after the relationship to the living, here comes the “redirection”.
