By us at Gamer.no, Vikings were judged north and down before last season by the Telialigaen. But the team both impressed and surprised throughout the season and secured a strong 6th place, including ahead of Metizport.

Ahead of the autumn season, Anders “savvy” Sundet and Stian “zitan” Fjørtoft have brought Swedish Sebastian “k0mplex” Rolski from the autumn lineup. With them on the team, they have also brought Stian’s little brother Emil Fjørtoft, as well as Swedish Didrik “didde” Alonso and changed their name to Skottkärra, a nice Swedish expression that directly translates to wheelbarrow in Norwegian.

This is Skottkärra

Gamer.no continues the countdown to Telialiga’s spring season in Counter-Strike. The first round is played on Monday 30.01, and we think Skottkärra can be fun to watch.

Plays without pressure

The team that left Vikings Esport before this season plays this season without any representation from the organization. The team’s tactical manager Anders “savvy” Sundet believes that this leads to a little less pressure on the team.

– We are a group that plays for fun, without any expectations from the organization or investors. The team trains and plays matches where there is an opportunity, but is not prioritized over work and school. We will do the best we can, then we will see if the pressure takes those who put in a little more time.

Sundet predicts that Bitfix player Magnus “hagmeister” Hagen will be a prominent player this season.

– I think “hagmeister” from Bitfix has great potential to take big steps forward, the question is whether the team is good enough for him to show it.

Will prevent VOID from reaching playoffs

When asked about which team Skottkärra is looking forward to meeting, he answers simply.

– Looking forward to keeping Johann “Saasinho” Saasen and co out of the playoffs, a clear reference to last year’s clash between the teams when the Vikings kept Void away from a ticket to the playoffs in the last round of the series.

Johann “Saasinho” Saasen here in an Oilers uniform, and his VOID is the opponent Skottkärra is most looking forward to.

Sundet believes that it will be the black and green teams that will lead the way this season.

– Both Metizport and 777 have made a good effort to acquire good, experienced players, and much rests on them achieving a good result.
Personally, I think Metizport will win this year.

We have predicted you in 6th place. What do you think of the prediction?

Perfect prediction. We have good experienced players but we do not have the framework needed to be predicted as playoff candidates. But Norwegian Counter-Strike is Norwegian Counter-Strike, and anyone can end up in the top four. I think this could be an even season within the top six as much of the talent in Norway is spread out.

Why do we predict Skottkärra in 6th place?

We see a clear difference between Skottkärra and the four teams we have tipped at the bottom of the spring table. The team made a big impression last year, and we expect them to take new steps already this year. We think, however, that they end up a bit between the grain and the wood, and must occupy a place in the middle of the table. If Sundet and elder brother Fjørtoft continue the game from last year, the team with some fluidity can potentially challenge for the last playoff spot.
