Zacatecas, Mexico.- Military and armed groups clashed in the Municipality of Los Pinos, in the extreme southeast of Zacatecas, during the afternoon of this Glory Saturday.
So far, the preliminary balance is two injured elements.
According to sources, the confrontation broke out around 2:00 p.m., when firearm detonations began to be heard in the community of La Laborcilla.
On social networks, the overflight of helicopters is reported, while the neighbors are sheltered in their homes, while agents of the National Guard (GN) and the Army fought the attacking group, equipped with long weapons and bulletproof vests.
Unofficially, informants indicated that two men in military uniform were injured, in addition to elements of the State Police being attacked by alleged hitmen. Grenade explosions were also reported.
At the moment, the Zacatecas authorities have not issued an official report in this regard.
This municipality has been singled out for its levels of violence.
Just at dawn on March 19, there was a confrontation between members of organized crime and elements of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena).
That Sunday, at least 18 kidnapping victims were freed by members of the Army, National Guard and Public Security Secretariat (SSP), in the municipalities of Pinos and General Pánfilo Natera, southeast of Zacatecas.
