Ciudad Juárez.- The Directorate of Public Services reports that El Chamizal Park is ready for this Easter Sunday to receive thousands of families from Juárez, Arturo Rivera Barreno, director of the agency, announced.

The official explained that the Directorates of Cleaning, Parks and Gardens and Public Lighting participated together in these tasks, in addition to the fact that the operation will end until Monday.

Rivera Barreno explained that the staff of the Directorate of Parks and Gardens worked to cut grass in all the polygons of the park, formative pruning of trees, as well as the removal of those that were dry or in poor condition.

The head of Public Services added that Limpia crews were dedicated to internal cleaning of the park in addition to the adjoining roads such as Tarzan Street, Carlos Pellicer, David Herrera Jordan, Costa Rica, Cuatro Siglos, Rafael Pérez Serna and Plutarco Elías Calles, collecting a total of 31 tons of garbage, 95 tires and 43 tons of skidded soil.

He highlighted that workers from the Public Lighting Directorate were in charge of the general revision of the electrical network inside the park, giving maintenance to 392 luminaires and 12 control cabinets.

Finally, he asked the citizens who visit El Chamizal this Easter Sunday to deposit the garbage in its place, avoid taking cars or motorcycles to the meadows, since it can cause damage to the irrigation system and the vegetation of the space.
