A young man allegedly shot dead his father in Miami after an argument at his home, near Leisure City.
On Sunday night, in the Southwest Miami-Dadewithin a community described by residents as small and peaceful, there was a deadly shooting as a result of a family fight.
The conflict ended with death of a 46-year-old mandue to the shots fired by his son, a 23-year-old young man.
The confrontation began after an altercation between the deceased and his wife. Unfortunately, it escalated when both gunmen, father and son, attacked each other.
Although the parent and the alleged aggressor are being questioned by Miami-Dade Police detectives, the possibility of charges being filed against the young man is not yet defined.
Neighbors in the area, surprised by the incident, expressed their dismay. A citizen identified as Mayuli Pino told Local 10 that she heard noises, but initially mistook them for fireworks, then her husband was informed of the gunshots by another neighbor.
Detective Andre Martin, from the Miami-Dade police, said that the results of the interviews will be decisive for future accusations. Meanwhile, a vehicle has been towed from the property as part of the investigation.
At this time, no additional details have been released about the reason for the dispute that sparked the deadly encounter.
The police investigation into this case remains ongoing as the community and authorities seek answers.
