When Sony launched the PlayStation 5 in 2020, the company also rolled out the PlayStation Plus Collection – a collection of critically acclaimed PlayStation 4 games that came with the subscription for free. Now this service is going away.

In an email to subscribers, Sony writes that the PlayStation Plus collection will be discontinued on 9 May. Until this date, you can still download the 19 games, and thus retain access to the games as long as you have an active subscription.

The PlayStation Plus Collection consists of the following games:

  • God of War
  • The Last of Us: Remastered
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • Battlefield 1
  • Monster Hunter World
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • The Last Guardian
  • Ratchet and Clank
  • Infamous: Second Son
  • Days Gone
  • Bloodborne
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • Batman Arkham Night
  • Mortal Kombat X
  • Until Dawn
  • Resident Evil: Biohazard

When the service was originally launched, Persona 5 was also included. However, the role-playing game was removed last May, but exactly why was never officially revealed. That’s how it is now too, as Sony has not said why the PlayStation Plus Collection is disappearing.

The PlayStation Plus team has also confirmed which games subscribers can pick up at no extra cost in February. As already revealed earlier this week, the month offers OlliOlli World, Mafia: Definitive Edition, Evil Dead: The Game and the Destiny 2 expansion Beyond Light.
