The reason: The singer “refuses to return the passports (of the daughters) to their mother and to let the children go to England with their mother.” This is what it says in the court documents available to the Daily Mail and Page Six.

The background is a move from Miami, the family’s former home, to Great Britain, the home country of the “Game of Thrones” actress. According to “Page Six”, the family of four moved to England in April 2023. In the following months, Sophie Turner began filming a miniseries while Joe Jonas went on tour with his brothers. At the time, the mother of two “hesitantly” agreed to let her daughters travel with Joe Jonas. Despite his performances, the singer is said to have had more time for the children than Turner was able to.

In the documents available, this travel regulation is referred to as a “temporary agreement”. On September 1, 2023, the “Jonas Brothers” singer filed for divorce from Turner and she wants her daughters to live permanently in England. A thought that Joe Jonas doesn’t seem to like at all. “The children were due to be returned to England on September 20, 2023. The father prevented the children from returning to England, which is a violation of the mother’s right of custody under English law, as England is the children’s usual place of residence,” Daily quotes Mail” from the court documents.

According to consistent media reports, Sophie Turner is planning to file a similar lawsuit in Great Britain.
