Previously announced for Fall 2022, Shoulders of Giants is running a slight delay in ignition. It is finally at the start of 2023 that the independent studio Moving Pieces Interactive will offer its new game on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. In this roguelike, it is by means of a combat robot that you will be able to advance in order to save the galaxy.
Prepare to defend the galaxy alone or with friends
In Shoulders of Giant, you will have control of a frog capable of wielding a mecha, in order to fight the forces of Entropy. The latter, led by the Owl, wreak havoc across the Milky Way by corrupting living planets and driving the heat death of the universe. The pitch is certainly quite simplistic, but as in any good roguelike, it serves above all as a pretext to set up a demanding gameplay which requires you to pass each step without fail.
With weapons and objects to recover on the way that it will be possible to modify for more efficiency, as well as a neat artistic direction, this new title of the program [email protected] could well be the good surprise of this beginning of the year on Xbox. The possibility of playing it with friends in a four-player mode with online co-op is another strong argument for those who are not necessarily comfortable with the genre.
It will of course be quite possible to complete the game solo or even in a two-player mode, each taking control of either the mecha or the frog. There will therefore be something for everyone in this new science fiction adventure whose release is imminent. It will be in just a few days, January 26th. It’s an Xbox console exclusive and will be available on PC through the Epic Games Store.
