MADRID.- The film-maker y screenwriter Patricia Ferreira, author of The wild children o I know who you werefor which she was nominated for Goya for Best New Director, died at the age of 65, as reported by the Academia Of whom.
Ferreira, who was part of the board of directors of the Academy and also a founding member of the CIMA association (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media), had started filming the series last October. The lawyerswith Paula Usero and Irene Escolar among its protagonists.
Screenwriter and director of film and television, Ferreira had a degree in Image Sciences and Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid, according to her profile on the CIMA portal.
After beginning her professional life in film journalism, she developed an extensive career in television as a director of series and programs that included fiction (such as the TVmovie paradise), cultural (such as The island of the treasure o A day in the life of our ancestors) and, above all, documentaries (such as All the world is music, On the other side of the silence, Nearby paradises, A step in the backpack o Equinox).

In 2000 he directed his first fiction feature film, I know who you werepremiered at the Berlin Festival, and for which she was nominated for the Goya Award for Best New Director.
