The Spice Girls together would be perfect to celebrate the historic event of Charles III’s coronation. to rock. In 2012, the now adult women were together on stage for the last time. Will they reunite in honor of His Majesty in May?

London – In 1994, five girls formed in London who would go down in British music history as The Spice Girls. In 2012, all five “Girls” were last reunited on stage with a medley at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics. A coronation is at least as unique an event as being the venue for the Olympics, the organizers thought and are now doing everything to win the girl group as “star signing” for the concert in honor of the coronation King Charles III (74) will put London into a state of emergency on May 6th.

Will King Charles III. succeed in what his mother Queen Elizabeth II failed to do?

The odds aren’t too bad as the girls have met Charles several times throughout their careers. Nevertheless, eleven years have passed since the Olympics, in which the “Wannabe” singers, who are now also approaching 50, have scattered to the winds. A source said the Sun: “Royal organizers are keen to sign Britain’s biggest girl band and the Spice Girls are seriously considering returning to the stage as a five-piece ensemble for such a historic event”.

Will Charles III. succeed in what his mother Queen Elizabeth II (96, † 2022) failed to achieve on her platinum anniversary? Last week, Mel C aka Melanie Jayne Chisholm (49) spoke out loud mail online to her disappointment that the Spice Girls were unable to perform at the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert last June. She said, “You know what, we would have loved to have been there, but it was just one of those situations where it was impossible.” They would have liked to do it, but it just didn’t work out, too many obligations depended on families and other responsibilities, it was said.

The Spice Girls and their relationship with the Royal House

The members of the band are also known by nicknames given to them in 1996 by the Top of the Pops Magazine and picked up by management and the media: Melanie Brown (also Mel B) aka Scary Spice, Emma Bunton aka Baby Spice, Geri Halliwell aka Ginger Spice, Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice and Melanie Chisholm (also Melanie C) aka Sporty Spice.

In May 1997, at the Prince’s Trust 21st Anniversary Concert, Brown and Halliwell broke royal protocol by kissing Prince Charles’ lipstick-smeared cheeks. Halliwell also whispered, “You’re very sexy” and pinched his butt. Since then, Charles and his sons William (40) and Harry (38) have been fans of the band. Prince Charles later sent Halliwell a personal letter “with lots of love” upon hearing that she had left the Spice Girls.

Victoria and David Beckham were guests at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s (41) wedding on May 19, 2018 at Westminster Abbey.

Can the organizers persuade Victoria Beckham to reunite for the coronation?

After Geri Halliwell (50) left in 1998, the members started solo careers in 2001. 2007 followed a last joint world tour with the original line-up and a greatest hits album. The world tour was a success, grossing over $100 million. The five band members reunited in June 2012 to record their musical Viva Forever! to apply. In August 2012, the girls rocked the stage at the Olympics. Another tour in the UK followed in 2019, which took place as a foursome without Victoria Beckham.

Posh Spice Victoria Adams, who has been married to Beckham (48) since 1999, probably has enough to do with her four children, professional soccer player David Beckham (47) and her career as a designer, model and actor. That’s probably why Victoria declined to regroup for a stadium tour in 2019. For three years they had an “incredible time” together, the others enthused. Nevertheless, Mel B (47), Mel C, Emma Bunton (47) and the married Geri Horner would also like to tour as a quintet again. Victoria’s husband, at least, can certainly be counted as a royal advocate. David Beckham unpretentiously queued with thousands of people for over 13 hours to personally bid farewell to Her Majesty at the Queen’s coffin. Sources used: thesun.co.uk, dailymail.co.uk
