On April 1st, 2023, the Harmoniemusik Tschagguns was able to perform the spring concert again in the Polysaal in Gantschier.
At the beginning of the concert evening, the young musicians Gagla & Tö performed under the direction of Florian STEMER. Afterwards chairman David BITSCHNAU was able to welcome the large audience to the concert under the musical direction of Kapellmeister Katharina BATLOGG. The musicians were particularly pleased with the visit of Mayor Herbert BITSCHNAU, the Chairman of the Vorarlberg Brass Band Association, Wolfram BALDAUF, and the State Bandmaster, Helmut GEIST.
The motto of the spring concert with a very varied program was ‘An Unexpected Journey’. Two concert pieces will also be performed in the competition on May 6th, 2023 in St Gallenkirch.
A highlight of the concert was the honoring of two musicians. Elisabeth KOHLER and Renate SANDRELL received the Silver Badge of Honor for their 25-year membership of the VBV. Elisabeth and Renate were also made honorary members of Tschaggun’s Harmoniemusik. On the occasion of the concert evening, the three young musicians Moses RUPRECHT, Emanuel AUER and Veronika STÜTTLER were presented with their silver and bronze awards.
The concert was moderated by Anna-Maria FUCHS in a perfect way, and some of the concert-goers were briefly involved in an April Fool’s joke. It was a very nice and entertaining evening. The audience was enthusiastic and thanked the musicians with great applause.
