Square Enix has announced a number of updates to the Forspoken demo on PlayStation 5. The changes come after feedback from fans, who felt there was room for improvement.

Via Twitter game manager Takeshi Aramaki explains that the demo now offers, among other things, button configuration. Furthermore, enemies that you have locked onto will remain locked on longer even if they move out of the field of view on the screen.

In addition, the developer has adjusted the size of various text in the game, and some technical debris should be weeded out.

We tested the upcoming action adventure late in 2021, and writer Øystein Furevik came away from the experience with a mixed impression.

– What I’m most looking forward to is certainly speeding around the big world and running, climbing and jumping at high speed. […] The game still cannot live on this alone, and this is where I have to say that I am a little unsure. It doesn’t look bad by any means, but there’s nothing about the battle system that immediately makes me think this is something I need to play.

Forspoken launches on January 18, on PC and PlayStation 5.
