It’s been a long time since Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe spoke up. But the day of the days has come and the developer is an update for the upcoming patch 1.6 for the popular life and farm sim.
ConcernedApe talks about Update 1.6
Eric Barone, aka ConcernedApe, is even taking a break from his new project Haunted Chocolatier to work on the upcoming update for Stardew Valley. What does the new version of the farm sim bring that the developer even puts aside his new game?
Well, update 1.6 is mainly aimed at modders. Describing the patch in a tweet, ConcernedApe said: “There will be a Stardew 1.6 update. It’s mostly changes for modders (making it easier and more effective to mod). But there’s also new game content, albeit much less than 1.5 . I’m on hiatus from Haunted Chocolatier at the moment to work on it.”

After that, the developer turns back to his new project. But we will certainly have to wait a long time for this one, because it was not until December 2022 that the Stardew Valley creator said that it will be a while before Haunted Chocolatier is finished.
Most recently, there was a major update for Stardew Valley in February 2021. As ConcernedApe already wrote themselves, this one introduced some new game content, such as the possibility of a beach farm, local co-op and many expanded customization options.
