The developers of Respawn Entertainment delivered the best game in the Star Wars universe in a long time with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The long-awaited sequel Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was supposed to be released in March. As the studio has now announced, nothing will come of it. Fans of Cal Cestis and the Mantis crew will have to wait a little longer before embarking on a new adventure. The creators also posted a message to fans on the official EA Star Wars Twitter channel to justify their decision. Accordingly, the team wants to allow itself six additional weeks for fine-tuning so that the game appears in the best possible condition. The new release date is April 28, 2023.
“For the past three years, the Jedi team here at Respawn has put their collective heart and soul into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (buy now €99.99 ) and we are proud to say that the content of the next chapter in the Cal Kestis story has been closed. We are now fully concentrating on the last phase: bug fixes to improve performance, stability, fine-tuning and above all the gaming experience,” says the message from Respawn. The creators go on to say that the game is a direct answer based on the overwhelming amount of fan feedback on the first installment and will once again offer outstanding experiences in exploration, the evolved combat system, locomotion and of course Cal’s story.
The developers continue: “In order for the team to achieve respawn quality, give the team the time it needs, and achieve the polish our fans deserve, we’ve extended our release schedule by six weeks – Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now be available worldwide on September 1st, 2019 Coming April 28. Thank you to EA and Respawn for giving us the time to deliver the best experience for our players and to all of you for your understanding.” Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will now be released after this year’s Star Wars Celebration, which takes place in London in early April. We can be curious to see if we will find out anything new about the game there.
