When consulting the page Steam of Starfieldthe sci-fi action RPG from Bethesda that was originally scheduled to release late last year, fans will notice that the release date now reads “Coming soon” instead of simply “2023”.
As it is, the upcoming title is one of the most anticipated games this year and will almost certainly be a hit when it finally releases. However, no one really knows when it may finally be released, but players have been guessing anyway.
In fact, there were those who theorized that Starfield could arrive this April to coincide with the International Day of Human Space Flight, which is celebrated on April 12. Obviously, this is just speculation and neither Bethesda nor its parent company ZeniMax have confirmed this.
The only thing that is known is that the game will be released sometime in 2023, hopefully it will be during the first half of the year. But outside of that, all you can do is wait for official news from the developer or publisher.
To make things even more inaccurate, the release date for Starfield has been changed on Steam, where it now says the space RPG is coming “Coming Soon.” Now that it no longer simply says “2023,” this change throws a bit of a curveball when it comes to the release window, as it can look even more confusing.
This isn’t to say that the game has been delayed again or that there’s something wrong with the release, but hopefully Bethesda can shed some light on what this release date change actually means.
