The trend is towards retrospectives. Since Spotify started the movement, everyone has gotten involved, even the biggest video game publishers. It’s become an unmissable end-of-year event for PlayStation and Nintendo gamers, and now it’s Steam’s turn to get started.
Valve’s turn to embark on its recap race. Like its competitors, Steam now offers players to discover their highlights of the year 2022 with a review of the last 12 months. The opportunity to find out which games you spent the most time on, the genres you preferred and even the number of individual sessions for each title. Small bonus if you have a Steam Deck, you will have your own retrospective for the console.
To get your 2022 Steam recap, nothing could be simpler. You just have to go on this page and log in with your account. From there, you will have access to your complete balance sheet. It is obviously possible to easily share personal statistics with friends on social networks thanks to a dedicated share button at the top of the page which will generate several ready-to-use images. Valve also takes the opportunity to reveal some of the most popular games of the year on the platform such as Elden Ring or Vampire Survivors.
Note that this Steam Review only takes into account data recorded between January 1 and December 14, 2022 and does not include offline game time. It is therefore possible that your retrospective will be a little distorted if you use this mode, for example to avoid being disturbed by the messages of your friends.
