Stéphane Guillon is an essential humorist, who takes malicious pleasure in playing the head of many politicians. He is not concerned with political correctness, and makes it known in his chronicles as on France Inter from 2008 to 2010 or even later in the program Hello Earthlings! by Thierry Ardisson. Apart from these passages on the radio or on television, Stéphane Guillon goes on the boards and offers delirious shows like Probation in 2010 which is a real consecration in his career. The comedian does not have his tongue in his pocket, he is used to saying what he thinks which can sometimes lead him into difficult situations like with JoeyStarr with whom he now shares the poster in the series Replacing on TF1.

An incredible anecdote with Jean-Paul Belmondo

This Friday, January 13, Stéphane Guillon was the guest of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine in C to you. He returned to an anecdote from his book Diary of an infrequent released in 2018 by Grasset editions in which he skilfully mixes his intimate memories and his significant encounters, such as the one with Jean-Paul Belmondo in a ready-to-wear boutique. The comedian was working at the time with a tyrannical boss, and the actor had somehow avenged him, a memory he recounted live with great emotion. “It was in 1981, he had landed at the shop on Boulevard Saint-Germain and my boss, who was torturing me, said to me: ‘Guillon go to the basement to see if I’m there’. And Jean-Paul Belmondo, who was a very instinctive person, he said ‘no, no, the kid is staying with us’, and he started buying clothes, so at Bébel, he knew he was Belmondo, and he made the show“, he said on the set.

He totally cracks her

Stéphane Guillon then explained that during his visit to the store, the tone rose between Jean-Paul Belmondo and his boss about the clothing size of the actor who wanted to try on a jacket in 56 and the other offered him some 54. Jean-Paul takes the jacket in 54, he brings his arms back and he completely cracks it“, he continued causing a general giggle. The actor knew perfectly well what he wanted and did not hesitate to ridicule the boss of the comedian at the time, a sweet memory. Stéphane Guillon subsequently sent a copy of his book including this anecdote to Jean-Paul Belmondo who then replied with a beautiful letter that he has since treasured. “It was very moving“, he confided to them.
