The announcement came from Stephanie herself with a short but eloquent statement on Twitter.

About 8 months ago I decided to take a break and within a few weeks I was unexpectedly given the opportunity of a lifetime. I had the privilege of returning to WWE as Co-CEO and Chairwoman. I can’t put into words how proud I’ve been to lead the largest company in the world and work with an amazing leadership team and one of the greatest executives I’ve ever known, my Co-CEO Nick Khan. Our founder, Vince McMahon, is back as Executive Chairman and is leading an exciting strategic process to look for new alternatives. And coupled with the leadership of Nick Khan and the creativity of Paul Levesque as Chief Content Officer, I am confident that WWE can be the ideal place to continue to explore new horizons and maximize shareholder value.
Stephanie then concluded her note by explaining how, from now on, she will go to the other side of the fence, remaining a simple fan and thanking all the team, the WWE superstars and the fans. For the moment, therefore, the role of Paul “Triple H” Levesque as head of the WWE creative department remains confirmed, but fans are starting to worry about his future, fearing a return of Vince McMahon at full capacity. However, a return from him was in the air and given these numerous strategic changes, rumors continue to intensify that Vince is back to speed up the WWE sale process.
