In the past year, that honor has been bestowed on movies centered around the old guard, beginning with Star Trek: The Movie. Star Trek Picard Season 3: Finally worth seeing after two disastrous seasons – but soon it will be over
Star Trek: Picard kicked off 2020 with a very strong episode that contrasted favorably with Star Trek: Discovery. However, the streaming series then got lost in a completely convoluted story. She contradicted the previous series canon as well as her own plot thread, which was only a few episodes old. Season 2 also got off to a strong start, but lost substance with each episode.
